CLASSIC AND MODERN 50 RACING CLUB.
The club objective covers all 50cc racing machines from approximately 1953 up to 1983 when the 50cc class was dropped from the Grand Prix programme. The club provides an organisation for like minded members who want to continue to race and show these machines.
The club aims to promote the 50cc class through racing, parading, sprinting, shows and exhibitions.
It supports the restoration, use and preservation of Classic 50cc machines for future generations, as well as the development of modern bikes to encourage wider participation in our sport"
We have a reputation of being one of the friendliest racing clubs around. We can usually be found all parked together in circuit paddocks helping each other out and sharing a mug of tea and a barbeque. We’re always keen to talk to members of the public about our club and 50cc racing in general. We’re always on the lookout for potential new members whether already experienced in racing or totally new to the sport. Come and see us in the paddock or at one of the exhibitions we attend. Be careful though as you’ll probably come away having been bitten by the 50cc racing bug !
The club has technical / eligibility specifications to ensure that all machines representing the club in the Classic classes are true to the spirit of the machines raced during the “period”.
Members of the club are expected to sign up to these aims and objectives when joining, and to ensure their machines are applicable, meet the technical / eligibility specifications adopted at the annual general meeting.
